Human foot contains more bones than any other part of the body; this is perhaps the main reason why a man started to develop a wear for his feet. Since ages man started wearing shoes mainly for protection of his feet from the roughness of terrain and climatic conditions. But later it became a custom to wear fashionable shoes for decoration.
The design of shoes has been varied over the years from culture to culture and region to region according to the climatic conditions and in addition fashion plays important role in shoes design, for example whether shoes have high heal or it must be heelless. Shoes always remained the integral part of any formal or informal dresses. A shoe varies in styles and shapes varying from simple sandals to complex boots based on style, complexity and cost. Shoes are traditionally been made up from leather, wood and canvas but now a days it has been made up of rubber, plastics and other petrochemical based materials. Shoes are also categorized on sex basis like shoes for men and shores for women. Shoes for men are categorized how they can be closed like Balmorals, Monk-straps, and Slip-ons etc. Shoes for women are High heeled, Kitten heels, Sling backs, Pumps or sneakers etc. Some shoes are also available that can be worn by male or female users.
Shoes are developed in numerous colors as well but the most popular are black and brown. Black shoes are normally formal style shoes often developed to be worn with the formal dress like school uniform, or for nurses or waitresses, police or military use. Also used for party dress or office suit. The all black shoes are normally made up of leather or canvas. Some of the black shoe styles in men are Balmorals or Oxford style often worn with uniform and formal dresses. Women also wear matching black shoes but most often this color in women is not so much popular. Hence black shoes are normally seen worn by men in general.
Shoes remained an important part of the sports gear too. Almost every sport needs certain level protection and comfort to sportsmen’s feet. Proper and appropriate shoes in the sports gear enhance the performance level of the player in that sport. Like soccer player cannot perform better unless he is wearing a quality spikes shoes. Like other styles and categories sports shoes are available in numerous colors and made.  A basketball player wearing black basketball shoes may be the center of the attention in the match if he is performing better due to basic support of his shoes for jumping.
